Taking a spiritual bath is a sacred and rejuvenating practice that can help clear your aura, release negative energy, and cleanse the physical body.
In Hoodoo and Santeria tradition, Spiritual Bathing is a common practice. Often, a spiritual bath is recommended prior to performing rituals or ceremonies to cleanse the practitioner physically and spiritually so that the magical work will remain pure and untainted.
Directions:
Take about a cup of sea salt or Epsom salt and mix in a few drops of pure essential oils, then your dried or fresh herbs. Use whatever essential oils and herb blends you feel called to use. Just avoid “hot” herbs and oils such as cinnamon, clove, peppermint, and possibly some citrus. I like to use lavender, ylang ylang, chamomile, rose, or jasmine.
Draw a warm bath. As you fill the tub, set your intention for the bath, focusing on releasing negative energy.
Poor in your salt and herb blend and mix with your hand to dissolve the salt. Before getting in, you may like to light some candles or play relaxing music to create a sacred space.
Step into the water mindfully, immersing yourself completely while imagining negative energy dissolving and being replaced with a pure white light.
Soak for about 30 minutes, or until the water goes cold. When you are done, be sure to scoop out the large herbs before draining the tub.
